I've ridden NF pants since the DP3.
My DP5s in Macha arrived in time for my MTB trip to Quebec. Our first day at Le Massif was a cool 20 degrees celsius and raining. My DP5's kept me dry without restricting my movement on the bike. In fact, I didn't even think about the weather or my pants, and just enjoyed the trails. To me, that's exactly what I want from my riding gear. The NF DP5's are worth every penny.
From a technical perspective, the DP5's fit the same as my DP4's, but the materials feel better and seem a little more water resistant. I like the open top pockets while the zippered side-leg pockets are perfect for your lift pass.
Great shorts overall. Stretchy, breathable and so far very durable. Sizing was a little tight through the upper thigh, crotch and waist for me. Bought a medium based off my 31 in waist and these puppies were a touch more than athletic fit. No worries, it’s manageable.
I have had several nf products and they never fail to deliver. Great quality, great fit, made in North America. Win win win.
This is my second pair of the NF shorts and I am in love with them. The fit is bang on and the fabric is light and stretchy. There is no issue with the shorts staying up during a ride and they have all the features a person needs, zipper phone pocket, deep pockets for a pair of gloves, and they even stretch enough to put a can of soda in the pocket if you hands are full at the apres.
